Special: Cereal Time with Gabe Fonseca — Rice Krispies Treats Cereal

Wake up, breakfast lovers: it’s cereal time!

Gabe Fonseca is a friend of Cerealously and a fellow connoisseur of cereals new and old. You may even recognize his passion for the topic from his legendary cereal box wall project (have you ever seen something so beautiful?).

We’d love to share with you the latest in Gabe’s ongoing YouTube series detailing cereal favorites from across the expanse of time. These Cereal Time videos are a heaping bowlful of history, nostalgia, humor, and, of course, a lot of sweet, delicious sugar.

This week’s video is a real “treat” for fans of hard-to-find cereals. If you enjoy it, be sure to watch Gabe’s other videos, and give him a follow on Twitter, as well.

So pour yourself some Rice Krispies, grab a cozy blanket, and stay awhile. Because once you Snap, Crackle, and Pop, you won’t be able to stop.

But I wasn’t about to let that dampen my mood, as well. Because it was 6:30am, and it was time to get driving. Why? Because it was the day of the 2015 Cereal City Festival, of course! Hosted every summer by Kellogg’s and Post in their shared city headquarters of Battle Creek, Michigan, the festival is an all-you-can-eat extravaganza celebrating the food which we all love, and which Battle Creek is built on (you can’t prove to me that the soil isn’t Cocoa Pebble dust). Somewhere in Minnesota, General Mills watches with jealousy. Continue reading
